Prepare concept designs for accessible building work

Application

This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to consult with clients to prepare concept designs that ensure that building work provides adequate access for people with disability in compliance with the requirements of relevant legislation, codes and standards. Designs must be appropriate for the nature of the project and clearly illustrate client requests such as construction methodologies and space allocations.

This unit is for individuals who are self-directed and have substantial depth of knowledge and skills to make independent judgements in the provision of access consulting services.
