Exhibited Animal Behaviour and Training Skill Set

Description

This skill set is designed to provide zookeepers and wildlife carers with the skills and knowledge to interpret animal behaviour and condition and/or train animals in facilities that house exhibited and/or native wildlife. The general skills and knowledge covered can be applied and contextualised to a broad range of exotic and native animal species.

  • ACMBEH401 Develop, monitor and review behavioural husbandry strategies
  • ACMBEH402 Develop, implement and monitor enrichment strategies for animals
  • ACMBEH403 Evaluate animal conditioning methodology and program design
  • ACMBEH404 Condition animal behaviour
