This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to develop feeding plans for livestock.
The unit applies to individuals who apply specialist skills and knowledge to develop feeding plans for livestock. This includes applying and communicating non-routine solutions to predictable and unpredictable problems.
All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace, and animal welfare legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines, and sustainability and biosecurity practices.
This unit applies to managers of grazing operations who design and develop feeding plans for livestock.
