This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate a field harvesting vehicle safely and hygienically.
This unit applies to individuals who operate vehicles for wild game harvesting for commercial purposes. Operators have responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the field harvesting vehicle, the loading and unloading of carcases and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety, food and meat safety regulations, animal welfare regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.
