This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to harvest wild game animals humanely following animal welfare standards.

This unit applies to individuals who harvest wild game in the field.

All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety and animal welfare regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.

Individuals undertaking this unit must hold a current firearms/shooters licence. Other legislative and regulatory requirements also apply to wild game harvesting and are enforced through state/territory jurisdictions. Users must check with the relevant regulatory authority before delivery.
