This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare live poultry for stunning. The unit involves preparation processes for a range of stunning procedures, including Controlled Atmosphere Stunning, electrical water baths and hand-held stunners.
The unit applies to individuals who apply basic operating principles to the bird stunning equipment and processes in a poultry processing environment.
