It involves confirming customer needs, analysing technical needs and options, providing advice on compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR), recommending best options for wheel and tyre combinations, and completing workplace processes and documentation.
This unit applies to those who work in the automotive service and repair industry. The wheel and tyre combinations include those for light vehicles, including four wheel drive (4WD) vehicles, light commercial vehicles or motorsport vehicles. This unit does not apply to agricultural machinery, heavy commercial vehicles, marine vessels, mobile plant machinery or motorcycles.
