Advise on building design for bushfire resilience

Application

This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to conduct an assessment and determine the suitability of a proposed building design for a bushfire prone area, and to provide recommendations consistent with the Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) rating for the proposed site.

The unit applies to individuals who are paraprofessional workers and have technical and theoretical knowledge of bushfire impact on property development. They demonstrate autonomy, judgement and responsibility in a range of contexts within broad but established parameters. They possess communication and analytical skills to determine and transmit solutions to complex problems.
