Application

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify opportunities for improvement, evaluate the costs and benefits of change, plan the implementation of change, promote agreement on the implementation of change and implement and monitor changes in justice services.

This unit applies to those working in a management role within justice services.

The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.

Those undertaking this unit work autonomously, proactively accessing and evaluating support from a broad range of sources. The role requires comprehensive analysis, organisation, numeracy and high level communication skills.
