This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to analyse dance movements and apply the concepts and terminology of music to dance performances.

The unit applies to those who are dancers, choreographers and dance teachers exploring the relationship between music and dance in the context of teaching dance, improving their own dance technique, devising dance sequences or reviewing dance performances. While supervision is provided, autonomy and judgement can be expected during the process of reflecting and analysing performances.
