This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to make a range of prop furniture. The unit relates to the construction of furniture for use in a theatrical or event context and does not cover general furniture construction skills, which are found in MSF Furnishing Training Package.

The unit applies to those who work autonomously in a team environment as they take responsibility for ensuring that prop furniture meets the creative requirements of productions. They may be responsible for supervising others.
