This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to plan, implement and monitor a program for the operation, maintenance or upgrade of a recirculating aquaculture system.

This unit applies to individuals with the technical expertise to operate the system or facility, trial new processes and supervise staff within an aquaculture environment.

All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety, food safety, biosecurity and environmental regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.
