It requires the ability to acquire crew, coordinate fishing activities, ensure vessel safety, control vessel speed and position and use vessel reporting and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with fisheries regulations.

This unit applies to individuals who have responsibilities for managing crew and vessel during fishing operations.
