Monitor and maintain inflatable aquatic equipment

Application

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to complete inspections, tests and routine non-specialist repairs and maintenance of inflatable aquatic equipment. It requires the ability to assist with the assembling, dismantling and routine cleaning of the equipment.

This unit applies to aquatic facilities including inflatable water parks, and those that have inflatable water slides and other aquatic-based play structures.

It can apply to technical operators, lifeguards and other individuals working at different levels of responsibility. All would be guided by operational specifications instructions, and organisational inspection and maintenance schedules and procedures.

The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
