This unit relates to the minimum safety requirements for contractors working on or near a fuel storage and dispensing site.

It includes working safely, identifying hazards and applying mitigation strategies, complying with relevant regulations, applying workplace policies and procedures, and applying relevant environmental protection requirements.

The unit applies to work at sites which store and dispense diesel and motor spirit (petrol), including ethanol blends. It excludes major hazard facilities and bulk transfer terminals.

This unit is appropriate for any contractor working on or near fuel storage and dispensing infrastructure. Work is performed under some supervision generally within a team environment
