This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to apply materiel logistics processes and procedures in accordance with relevant organisational policy and procedures.
It includes preparing to apply, applying, monitoring and reporting on materiel logistics support processes and procedures that occur throughout the whole materiel life cycle, from concept to acquisition, through to sustainment and disposal. It also includes maintaining records for materiel logistics processes and procedures in accordance with relevant organisational policy and procedures.
The application of processes and procedures is specific to a variety of materiel logistics component processes including administrative procedures, data collection and storage, and data retrieval.
This unit was developed for integrated logistics support and materiel sustainment specialists working within materiel logistics but may be applicable to individuals in broader logistics roles.
Individuals work independently or as part of a team under direct or indirect supervision, use discretion and judgement, and take responsibility for the quality of their outputs.
