This unit involves the skills and knowledge required for the coordination of a network and/or system. Networks and/or systems may be interconnected, remote or isolated.

Power generation operators will manage varying levels of network and/or system complexity across facilities, as well as the networks and/or systems that exist within an individual facility’s plant and equipment.

Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan network and/or system operations, coordinate network and/or system, respond to network and/or system faults or incidents and complete all documentation. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator with coordination responsibilities in network and/or system control in a power generation facility.

Power generation plant operators are trained and authorised to isolate, prepare plant and issue permits to work.
