This unit involves the skills and knowledge required coordinate operational strategies to achieve short- and long-term goals of a power generation facility’s production plant.

An operational plan describes how a power generation facility will use resources within specified timeframes. Operational strategies are the methods used to reach objectives and performance targets related to the power generation facility’s operational plan.

Competency in this unit requires the ability to coordinate the implementation of operational strategies, monitor strategies and report on performance against strategies. Individuals will, in general, work as a coordinator in operational management, in a power generation facility.
