This unit involves the skills and knowledge required for the scheduling, implementation and reporting of dam safety surveillance.

Surveillance of dams is undertaken to ensure they are operating safely. Reports on dam safety are also required to meet the power generation facility’s legislative requirements.

Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan work, implement dam safety surveillance and complete safety surveillance reports. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator, in a power generation facility.
