Environmental legislation is a collection of laws and regulations aimed at protecting the environment from harmful actions. Federal, state/territory and local governments jointly administer environmental protection laws in Australia.
Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan, implement, manage and monitor environmental management strategies. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator with responsibility for environmental management systems, in a power generation facility.
