Application

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to monitor and conduct maintenance to ensure the integrity of power generation civil assets.

Civil asset maintenance strategies are used to preserve and extend the service life of infrastructure. Civil assets may include infrastructure such as water treatment facilities, sewer pipelines, roads, utility grids, bridges, tunnels and railways.

Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan work, monitor civil assets, maintain civil assets and complete all work. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator, in a power generation facility.
