This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to transport power generation plant and equipment.

Road transport is used to move light or heavy materials, equipment and power generation plant from one location to another location.

Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan and prepare for power generation plant and equipment transportation, obtaining permits, loading and unloading power generation plant and equipment, securing load, operating transport vehicle and completing documentation. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator, in a power generation facility.
